For over 25 years, Glenn Smith’s work and that of the Phoenix team has been making news in national trade and consumer car magazines such as Road & Track, the prestigious Robb Report, and in local and regional newspapers. Our work gets huge applause from the cars’ owners; also rave reviews by the press, auto show attendees and judges throughout the United States. The custom classic cars and hot rods we exhibit at major automobile shows have won Best in Class and Best in Show among fields of strong competitors. 

Owner Glenn Smith has been recognized throughout his career for his artistry, designs and craftsmanship and his professional team members are no exception. Phoenix Rod & Custom's entries have been recognized by The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), Classic Car Club of America (CCCA), the Detroit AutoRama, the Cavalcade of Customs, the Concours d'Elegance at Meadow Brook, The National Street Rod Association (NSRA), and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA).

Won third place at the Detroit AutoRama in the Radical Custom Class for years 1935 to 1948 in March, 2007.  This car also won the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) Safety Inspector's Choice in York, PA in June, 2007
1937 Ford
At the Syracuse Nationals of 2007, the Designer's Dozen Pro's Awards selected this car from over 3,000 cars and included the car in the 100 Designer Vehicles Nominee's Selection
1931 Ford 
Received Judge's Choice Award at Blues Cruise in Knowlton, NJ, and won Best Hot Rod at M&M's Memorial Madness Show in 2007. First Place for Best Hot Rod at the Frenchtown Day and Brodheadsville, PA Shows
